OTY LIGHT Oty Light is the embodiment of distinctive Italian contemporary design in hand blown glass. THE COMPANY Eugenio Pamio’s destiny has been inextricably bound to Murano glass and light. Pamio has been an international figure in manufacturing interior lighting since the 1960s. Alongside his sons Simone and Andrea, Pamio founded Oty Light, continuing to design traditional Italian blown glass fixtures in exciting contemporary styles. The ingenuity of the Pamios’ design has maintained Oty Light at the forefront of performance in lighting design. Oty Light was formed with two distinct branches, Oty Decor and Oty Tech. Oty Decor offers unique creations for the home, with highly refined fixtures that reflect the intricacy and elegance of Murano glass. Oty Tech, devoted exclusively to the spheres of contract work, commerce, offices and transit areas, makes lighting products focusing on precision and quality of form. |
DESIGN Some examples of the Oty collections are the Kioto and the Mida series. The Kioto series features hand-blown clear crystal diffusers wrapped with strands of molten glass to offer a striking choice of distinctive contemporary design. The metal detailing in this line is in lustrous polished chrome. Designed by Paolo Crepax and Silvio Zanon. The Mida series offers hand-blown milk white oval glass forms with contrasting border detail in clear crystal to shield the light source and radiate edge lighting.
